Meet FitMi: An Interactive, Full-Body Stroke Rehabilitation Tool
FitMi is an interactive exercise tool for occupational and physical therapy
FitMi adds both fun and intensity to each therapy session. With FitMi, you use two wireless ‘pucks’ to perform effective rehabilitation exercises in our interactive RehabStudio application.
Each puck contains 10 different sensors that accurately track your patients’ movements and provide haptic feedback, adding a whole new dimension to classic therapy!
FitMi is designed to treat a broad range of impairment levels.
Who is it for?
FitMi is adjustable to all stages of recovery following stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, or other neurological injury.
Exercises for FitMi range from passive stretching exercises to more complex functional upper and lower extremity exercises.
You can also adjust the difficulty of each exercise so that your patients are always optimally challenged.
Is movement required?
FitMi is a full-body exercise system. So if a patient doesn’t have a lot of movement in some muscle groups, don’t worry! There is plenty more to do.
Most patients can find one body part to get started with, and move up from there.
FitMi Is Like Wii for Rehab
FitMi was built as a fun tool with both clinicians and patients in mind. It has the following features built specifically for rehab:
- Durable sensorized pucks can detect unique movements like rolling, twisting, stacking, and grip force.
- The RehabStudio app contains a library of exercises commonly used for motor recovery.
- FitMi provides multi-sensory auditory, visual, and haptic feedback to keep patients engaged.
Create a Custom Regimen for Each Patient
The clinic version of RehabStudio (the software that comes with FitMi) lets you create a custom regimen for each patient.
Simply click on the body region and exercises that you would like your patients to work on.
